C-O-N-SPIRACY BREWING?

Does anyone else out there find it odd that in the midst of a national discussion about the state of the fragile economy, which puts the Republican party back on its heels, that a terrorist bombing would happen in the Middle East and be attributed to "Islamist extremists" and then, when their VP nominee is losing steam and the media is getting wise to her, hackers break into her personal email, possibly creating sympathy for her?

email story...
i think the hacking is not creating sympathy

i think (if anyone is truly paying attention) the following:

1. she decided to use a yahoo account for official government business.

a yahoo account that does not guarantee any type of firewall protection.
she basically invited hackers to hack her ish.

her choice to go outside of official state email addresses to conduct state business intimates that she has something to hide.

what? I don't know.

2. i don't want anyone that stupid and shortsighted to clean my toilet let alone be the VP of the USA.

3. and i don't want anyway who chooses someone that stupid to be their VP to be near any nuclear codes.

Hey - Good site. I especially like the piece on white privelege. I suspect that the reason Palin's email was hacked is that it had just come out in Alaska as part of the "troopergate" investigation that there were communications between her and her staff done off the 'grid' of official email accounts. It has been indicated that this was done intentionally to allow for communications under the radar. I don't know much about hackers, but with all the publicity she has received, it seems inevitable that someone would then do their utmost to hack in to those other accounts. I suppose the question might be, how did they know where to start? How would they have known it was a yahoo account and not one of the local service providers, for example?
But, on a more important note - I hope - as I was reminded by a new acquaintance at a friend's house last evening - we get more of what we focus on, and that certainly seems to be true. So, as for me, though I will write still about the views from Alaska - and that inevitably involves our governor, I am turning my sights to the promising prospect of an Obama presidency - I am about sick of hearing all this nonsense that keeps coming up. I am beginning to look beyond the election- hoping that Obama's campaign organization can morph into a powerful and effective community based change agent - no matter who is in the White House. As he said in his speech at the convention, it is about what we can do - if his efforts to improve the country are going to succeed every one who wants him elected is going to have to pitch in - and if he isn't elected - well, then we really better be ready to go to work - advocate, advocate, agitate, etc.

Keep up the good work,
